Shirley Newton

Born June 22, 1942, in Flint, MI., to the late Roy and Marjorie Lee Alsup.

On June 20, 1961, in Sikeston, MO., she married Earl Newton, who survives of the home.

Survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law, Gaylon and Tammy Newton of Benton, MO.; two daughters and two sons-in-law, Sheri and Doug Johnson of Cape Girardeau, MO., Cindy and Bobby Sullivan Of Sikeston MO.; One brother, Roy Lee Alsup of Sikeston, MO.; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Elaine Hodges of Sikeston, MO., Doris and Gary Denbow of Mason, OH.; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one son, Brian Newton.

Visitation will be held on Friday, May 12, 2017 from 11:00 a.m. until time of funeral service at 1:00 p.m., at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel, Doug Johnson, associate pastor of Emerald Street Church of God in Cape Girardeau, MO., officiating.

Burial will follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston, Mo.
