Silas D. Massey

He was born in Cardwell, MO on July 21, 1946, to the late Thomas (Edd) and Bertie Mae (Carter) Massey.

Mr. Massey and Ms. Barbara Harr were united in marriage on May 17, 1967, in Matthews, MO. She survives of the home in Jackson, MO.

Mr. Massey was employed for seventeen years as a manager for Auto Zone in Sikeston.

In addition to his wife, survivors include three sons, Donald (Lisa) Massey of Sikeston, Mike Massey of Jackson, and John (Christina) Massey of Jackson; five grandchildren, Aaron (Tabetha) Massey of Sikeston, Samantha and Logan Massey of Jackson, Devin Hayden of Champaign, IL, and Matthew Massey of Jackson; two great-grandchildren, Tarren and Alden Massey; one brother, Eddie (Iva) Massey of Sikeston.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Dorothy Stroud, and four brothers, Jack Fields, Bill Massey, Gene Massey and Jim Massey.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 19th, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. until time of service at 1:00 p.m. at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston with Brother Tom McCanliss, pastor of Perkins Baptist Church, officiating.

Burial will follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston.
