Thelma Irene Phillips

Thelma Irene Phillips, age 89 entered her heavenly home on July 1,2016 at the Sikeston Convalescent Center in Sikeston, MO.

Irene was born on September 21, 1926 in Johnson County, Arkansas to the late Ernest and Ethel Breedlove. She was a member of Shady Acres Church of Christ.

Irene is survived by her husband of over 70 years, Lewis Phillips; two daughters, Melody (Harold) Luscombe of Paducah, KY and Teresa “Teri” (Steve) Bishop of Dexter, MO ;two grandsons, Jason(Beverly) Luscombe of Melber, KY and Joshua (Jonalyn) Luscombe of Suzhou, China; two great-grandchildren, Hailey Luscombe of Melber,Ky and Jaden Luscombe of Suzhou, China.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Herschel Breedlove and Bearl Breedlove and a granddaughter, Erica Gentry.

Visitation will be from 5:00pm to 8:00pm on Tuesday July 5, 2016 at Shady Acres Church of Christ. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday July 6,2016 at Shady Acres Church of Christ. Patrick Hogan will officiate.

Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery in Sikeston.
