Vanita Jaynes

Born July 12, 1921, in Bertrand, MO., to the late Robert and Martha Fenimore.

On June 24, 1939 in Sikeston, MO., she married Venson (Sheik) Jones who preceded her in death in 1970. On June 3, 1978, she married Kelly Jaynes who preceded her in death in 1982.

She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Sikeston, MO. for 70 years. In 1978, she retired from Buckner-Ragsdale where she was a Sales Clerk for many years.

She loved playing golf will her friends at Sikeston Country Club.

Survivors include: two sons and two daughter-in-laws, Michael H. and Kathy Jones of Jackson, MO., and Stephen B. and Mary Jane Jones of Indianapolis, IN.; four grandchildren, Richard Schuerenberg of Sikeston, MO., Michael C. Jones of Cape Girardeau, MO., Christy Musgraves of New Madrid, MO., and Allison Causey of New Madrid, MO.; one step granddaughter, Jamie L. Ellis of Indianapolis, IN.; eight great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husbands she was preceded in death by four brothers.

A Memorial service will be held Thursday October 26, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston, MO. with Rev. Charles E. Buck, pastor of New McKendree United Methodist Church in Jackson, MO, officiating
