Verna Kay Wilson

She was born on May 26, 1953, in Sikeston, MO to the late Vernon and Dorothy Lindsey Morris.

She was married to Johnny Dover who preceded her in death on September 14, 2002, on December 19, 2008, in Benton, MO she married Philip Wilson who survives of the home in Bell City, MO.

She was a hairdresser for twenty-eight years in Bell City, MO before retiring from NRCS in Benton, MO in 2023 after twenty-two years of service.

In addition to her husband she is survived by two sons, Clay (Samantha) Dover of Bell, MO and Derek Dover of Bell City, MO; two stepsons, Blake Wilson of Bell City, MO and Bailey Wilson of Tallahassee, FL; one daughter, Meghan (Nathan) Walter of Bell City, MO; one stepdaughter, Deanna Wilson of Sikeston, MO; two sisters, Dianna Thomure of Sikeston, MO and Kim Morris of Morehouse, MO and twelve grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Friday, August 8, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of funeral service at 12:00 noon at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston, MO with Danny Kuykendall, officiating.

Interment will follow in the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston, MO.

Pallbearers will be Philip Wilson, Clay Dover, Fred Brown, Mike Todt, Blake Wilson and Nathan Walter.
