She was born on August 21, 1927, in Sikeston, MO to the late Green and Ethel Joyce Vaughan.
On November 24, 1949, in Sikeston, MO she married the late Linley Forbis, she was the loving wife of fifty-six years.
Survivors include one son, John (Mary) Forbis; two daughters, Jane (Gary) Troup and Sally (Jimmy) Poole; dear grandmother of Matthew (Amelia) Forbis, Timothy (Christine) Forbis, April (Jameson) Tallyn, Katie (Zach) Daughtrey and Joshua (Kassi) Poole; dear great-grandmother of twelve, dear sister-in-law, aunt, great aunt and friend.
A brief gathering will be held on November 29, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston, MO followed by an 11:30 a.m. graveside service at Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston, MO. with Rev Matt Vandagriff of Kirkwood Baptist Church, officiating.
