Vivian was born to the (late) Ivan and Fern Boyles who still lives in Iowa and just celebrated her 100th birthday. Vivian was born in Urbana on May 6, 1949. She married Paul “Tony” Scudder on December 14, 1968. They were married 47 years before he went to be with Jesus.
Vivian was a member of Miner Baptist Church and was a godly woman mentoring her family to God’s word as she lived daily. Vivian loved to travel and visit with her family. Although Vivian did not work outside the home she worked hard raising her two children. She was a member of the Scott County Rural Fire Protection District and the Blodgett Women’s Club, was delighted to help with the Make A Wish Foundation and the Missouri Baptist Convention Disaster Relief organization and truly enjoyed her time working at Beggs Family Farm in the Fall. Aside from her salvation, Vivian’s greatest joys in life were her family.
Surviving is her mother Fern Boyles of Waterloo, Iowa. Daughter Theresa Jarvis of Blodgett, son Mark (Amber) Scudder of Sikeston. Grandchildren Cameron Jarvis, Tyler (Kinsey) Scudder, Tryston (Nevaeh) Jarvis, Bryce (Marcus) Jarvis-Foos, Emma Scudder & Jaxon Scudder. Great grandchildren Zoey, Jade, Savannah, Kaden, & Hunter along with siblings Ginni (Fred) Niebergall, Duane (Judy) Boyles, Carol (Late-Bob) Schmitz and Candace (Sonny) Patterson, and several nieces & nephews.
Preceding her in death is her husband Paul A. “Tony” Scudder, her father Ivan Boyles, her brother Larry Boyles, a great granddaughter Brilee Jarvis and several other family members.
You are welcome to show your respect to the family on Sunday, September 13th from 2-4pm with funeral to follow at 4pm at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston, Mo. Although her spirit is in Heaven rejoicing and fishing with Tony, Vivian’s body will be laid to rest at the Blodgett Cemetery to follow. Brother Steve Francis Officiating.
Pallbearers will be Duane Boyles, Mark Scudder, Cameron Jarvis, Tyler Scudder, Tryston Jarvis, and Jaxon Scudder.
