Wanda Spurlock Couch

She was born on September 27, 1924, in Poplar Bluff, MO to the late Delbert and Meacy Warbington Spurlock.

On June 7, 1946, in Henderson, KY she married Robert Couch Jr who preceded her in death on January 9, 1977.

She attended the First Baptist Church in Sikeston, MO. She retired from Missouri Employment Services. She served as a volunteer at Missouri Delta Medical Center for several years.

She is survived by two sons, Tony (Reta) Couch and David Couch; two daughters, Debbie (Larry) Whitlock and Lisa Lawson; five grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by one brother, Leonard “Bud” Spurlock, one sister, Betty Pearce, one granddaughter, Elizabeth Whitlock Haynes, one son-in-law, Bill Lawson and one daughter-in-law, Sandy Couch.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 7, 2026, from 10:30 a.m. until the funeral service at 12:00 noon at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston, MO. with Danny Kuykendall, officiating.

A private interment will be held on Monday, February 9, 2026, at the Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, MO.

Family suggests memorial donations be sent to Missouri Delta Medical Center Foundation, 1008 N Main, Sikeston, MO 63801 or charity or organization of choice.
