He was born April 15, 1935 in Ochlocknee, GA., to the late Roy and Thelma Weeks Alligood Sr.
He was a member of Sikeston First Assembly of God Church in Sikeston, MO.; he retired from Good Humor–Breyers in Sikeston, MO. in 2000 after thirty years of service with Good Humor–Breyers.
On July 17, 1987 in Ocala, FL. he married Darlene Stephens Alligood who survives of the home in Sikeston, MO.
Other survivors include one daughter, Glynis (Craig) Alicea of Greenbay, WI.; one son Kerry (Lisa) Alligood of Greenbay, WI.; two step-sons, Greg King and Chuck King of Sikeston, MO.; one sister, Shelby Davis of Pelham, GA.; four grandchildren, Beau Rivers, Lila Alligood, Shelby Alligood and Harley Porter; two step-grandchildren, Brook King and Cameron King.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers and four sisters.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 14, 2019 from 4:00 p.m. until time of funeral service at 6:00 p.m. at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston, MO., John McHaffie pastor of Sikeston First Assembly of God Church in Sikeston, MO., officiating.
A private burial will be held on Friday, March 15, 2019.
Pallbearers will be Wayne Stephens, Andy Barnes, Rick Green, Jerry Herring, Tom Wilson and Mason Smith.
Honorary pallbearers will be Jim Wilkening and Dan Wood.
