He was born on February 15, 1950 in Sikeston, MO to the late Nelson and Mattie Shepherd Gruen.
He married Sally Taylor Gruen who preceded him in death.
He graduated from Matthews High School and he served in the United States Army.
He is survived by one sister, Mary Ann Robinson of Poplar Bluff, MO and two nephews, John Robinson and Brian Robinson.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, July 7, 2023 at Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston, MO with military honors.
