William A. Harris

He was born on March 25, 1947, in Sikeston, MO to the late Olen and Myrtle Marie Anderson Harris.

On February 11, 1980, in New Madrid, MO he married Debbie Lynn Magee Harris who preceded him in death on November 6, 2019.

He served in the United State Army from 1966 until 1972 and served 3 years during Vietnam.

He is survived by one son, Brent Harris of Canalou, MO.; two daughters, Christy Gilmore of Sikeston, MO., and LeAnn Harris of Sikeston, MO.; one brother, Quentin Harris of Lake St. Louis, MO; six grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother and three sisters.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 19, 2025, at the First Baptist Church in Canalou, MO at 10:00 a.m. with pastor Dewayne Coleman. A meal will follow afterwards at 11:00 a.m. and interment at 1:00 p.m. at the Matthews Cemetery in Matthews, MO.
