Aliette Marie Boulin, of Silver Spring Maryland, beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away on September 7, 2026, at the age of 98. She was born on May 11, 1928, in Bordeaux, France, and carried the grace, strength, and warmth of her French heritage throughout her life.
In the early 1950s, Aliette moved to the United States with her late husband, Maximilian “Max” Boulin, who passed away September 20,1985, beginning a new chapter filled with courage, devotion, and love for family. Her life reflected resilience, elegance, and a deep commitment to those she cherished.
In 1953, Aliette worked with Max as he began his HVAC business, offering encouragement, support, and steady devotion as they built a life and livelihood together. Through the challenges and changes of the decades that followed, the business endured well into the 2020s, a lasting reflection of the foundation they helped create and the perseverance that marked their journey.
Aliette was preceded in death by her eldest son, Richard Boulin. She is survived by her son, Lionel Boulin, and his wife, Jennifer Boulin; her grandchildren, Katherine Herman and her husband, Mathew, Emily DeYoung and her husband, Taylor, and Andrew Boulin; and her great-grandchildren, Mackenzie and Colton Herman.
She will be remembered with love and gratitude by her family and all who knew her. Her memory will live on through the generations she helped shape and the love she so freely shared.
Aliette found joy in the simple and meaningful moments of life, especially tending to her garden and creating beauty wherever she lived. She also loved to travel, carrying with her a sense of curiosity and appreciation for the world around her.
A funeral service and viewing will be held on September 24, 2026, at Hines-Rinaldi Funeral Home from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., followed by a graveside service at 2 p.m. at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Silver Spring.
