Andrew was born in Mola di Bari, Italy to Romana and Giovanni Russo. He was one of four children, Rosa, Caterina, and Nina. Andrew was predeceased by his beloved wife, Mary Victoria Russo. Andrew is survived by his three children, Romana (Barry), Mary, John (Doreen), and grandchildren, James, Marie, James (Jimmy), Karen, John Andrew, Jr., Anthony, Brandon, Brianna (Josh), Connor, and Liam; as well as three great grandchildren, Waylon, Judson, and John Andrew III.
Andrew was a stevedore for the New York Longshoremen. He enjoyed fishing and travel.
