Sr. Ann Patrick Conrad has served on the faculty of the National Catholic School of Social Service (NCSSS) at The Catholic University of America, in various roles, since 1985. Initially, she was Director of Admissions, then Chair of the MSW Program, and she completed a six-year term as Dean of NCSSS in Summer 2002. An experienced agency and private clinical practitioner, she has conducted research and has taught courses in social policy analysis, theories of social justice, professional social work ethics, and the theory and practice of social work supervision and consultation.
From Fall '02 through Spring '03 she was a Visiting Researcher at the Kennedy Institute of Ethics, Georgetown University. She has conducted seminars, workshops, consultations, and has participated in video conferences in her areas of expertise with partners from the United States, Chile, Hong Kong, Italy, Lithuania, and Taiwan. In the summer of 2006 she was selected as a participant in the Oxford Round Table at Oxford University, England. She has been active with the Council on Accreditation of Family and Child Services Agencies (COA) since 1981, having served as site visitor, team leader, commission member, and member of the Board of Directors where she serves as Chairperson of the Accreditation Committee.
Dr. Conrad received her BS degree from Spring Hill College, her MSW from the University of North Carolina, and her doctoral degree from The Catholic University of America. She is a member of the National Association of Social Workers, the Council on Social Work Education, Catholic Charities USA and the Kennedy Institute of Ethics. She is a licensed clinical social worker in Maryland and in the District of Columbia.
