Belinda A. Warren daughter of the late Lillie Mae Jennings and Willie Manns of Atlanta, Georgia, was born on November 15, 1949 in Atlanta, Georgia. She entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, May 26, 2020. Early on Belinda attended Sherwood High school. She retired from Montgomery County Public Schools as a Bus Attendant for Special Needs Children. She was a dedicated and hard worker. She enjoyed her work with the children and often shared stories about her day. She was so dedicated to this work that she did special runs to work with children who attended the Maryland School for the Blind. She loved the holidays and dressed up, shared presents and freshly baked cookies with her students. She led and organized yearly toy and food drives to help support children and parents in need during the holidays. She did all this as a single parent along with taking care of her own five children. In the summer and evenings she also worked part time jobs at Kmart and District Photos. She was an excellent chef creating new recipes for us to try. She loved watching the cooking and British mystery shows and spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
In July 2019, she became ill and was having many complications with her health. The family prayed and God answered giving us more time with her. Her loud and powerful voice, laugh, yells at the television as she watched her shows we will sorely miss. She walked through life tough yet she had a huge kind and loving heart once she took you in. She opened the doors of our home to many of our friends who did not have as loving homes as we did offering them food and shelter in the midst of caring for her children. She was smart and strong minded and always teaching and sharing information about things she knew or had learned. She had a joyous happy spirit with the most beautiful crooked smile that would take your breath away.
She was preceded in death by her daughter Laverane. She is survived by her daughter’s Robin, Linda, Tomiko/Pumpkin, and her son Barnaby. She is also survived by her brother Michael; an abundance of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephew, cousins, friends and many more.
