1943 to Evelyn and John Ellis Sr. in Plainfield, New Jersey. Ben was truly a family man from day one, he was
one of seven children. He believed in bringing family together.
Ben, Dad, Baba or Uncle Ben was a example of what a man of God should be. He led his family by
example and his light shone in all he did. He was a giving man who would help you no matter what. He fought
for our county and he fought for his family.
He leaves behind a wife, Erlene Ellis ,two daughters, Kendra Ellis and Keisha Williams, three
grandchildren, Jermaine Williams, Jamar Williams and Keira Williams, a brother, James Ellis, a mother-in law,
Mary East, a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins and friends.
