I miss Benny.  He was one of the first people I met when I came to Washington after law school.  We took the bar exam together,  enlisted in the DC Air National Guard on the same day, and went to basic training together.  We shared an apartment in Georgetown and a beach house in Rehoboth.  I have great memories of the many times  my wife and I shared with Benny and Salme. We loved sailing on his boat and enjoying crab fests on the Eastern Shore.  We relied on Benny's wise counsel in personal legal affairs.

Benny will always be missed.  He represented and advised me in buying my first home in DC many years ago.  And then years later, I purchased a condo, where our association hired his firm to be our association attorney, which he did until his passing. 

I will always remember Benny's fussiness, strength, knowledge and empathy...with a smile.  Its been well over a year, but your memory continues...

Mr. Kass represented my condo association in DC last year on a potential internal dispute and did a superb job.  His involvement gave me tremendous confidence that we will reach a resolution that is supported by the law.  I will miss him and always remember him with reverence.

Benny represented and advised the Belmont Towers Condominium Association in Ocean City, MD ever since management was turned over to the owners from the developer. He was a wonderful man and great advisor who handled every issue with wit, grace, and an incredible fountain of knowledge.  Even towards the end, when he couldn't speak on the phone, he wanted to continue receiving and responding to emails which asked for advice that he then provided.  He will be sorely missed, both professionally and personally.

Benny represented the tenant association at 4707 Connecticut Ave NW in the first ever tenant purchase of its building and convert it to condominiums in DC.  He was a tireless champion, astute legal advisor and superb negotiator who I, as head of the association, and many other tenants relied on through this process. He was also very funny and a joy to work with and was instrumental in  many of us becoming first time home owners. Our condolences go out  his family.  He was a wonderful man. 


Benny was our Attorney of Record since the early 1970s and represented us at numerous real estate transaction. His legal knowledge and sincere concern was evident each time we dealt with him. He was a kind and thoughtful man, and will be greatly missed.
