Brianna Nicole Hancock-Lyles

With deep sadness and heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Brianna Nicole Hancock-Lyles, who departed this life far too soon on August 31, 2025, at the age of 22. A cherished daughter, sister, aunt, and friend, Brianna lived in Derwood, Maryland, and was a light to all who knew her.

Brianna was born on January 6, 2003, to her loving parents, Sandra Hancock and Benjamin Lyles. She is survived by her devoted siblings — brothers Benjamin, Brandon, Neil, and Devin; and sisters Ava, Angel, and Cheyenne — as well as many adoring nieces and nephews, including Lil Benji, Azai, Luxxon, Kansas, Da’Karii, Brooklyn, Rylee, Milani, and Briella. Her life was surrounded by the love of a large and supportive family and countless friends who will miss her dearly.

Brianna was a vibrant, outgoing, and determined young woman. She had a heart full of love and a spirit full of ambition. She was passionate about beauty and had a special talent for doing hair and was beginning to explore acrylic nails. Her dreams included attending school to learn lash artistry and starting college to pursue a career in nursing — a path that reflected her nurturing and caring nature. A creative soul, Brianna also loved to cook, bake, and read. She poured love into everything she did and always made those around her feel seen, loved, and uplifted.

A Celebration of Life will be held in her honor on Thursday, September 18, 2025, at Oakdale Church in Olney, Maryland. The viewing will begin at 10:30 AM, followed by a service at 11:30 AM, and then a burial at Parklawn Cemetery. Though her time with us was brief, Brianna’s love, warmth, and radiant energy will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
