

Carma Fuller Fleming, loving mother, homemaker, and long time resident of Rockville, Maryland, died peacefully in her sleep at the Montgomery Village Nursing Center after a long struggle with Alzheimer’s disease.
Carma is survived by her four children: Freddie Fleming (Ramona), Jo Fleming, Warren Fleming (Marcie), and Matthew Fleming (Angela); her three grandsons, Calvin Hayes (Rachael), Eric Hayes, and Aaron Fleming; her granddaughter, Sara Fleming Pecoraro; and her two great granddaughters, Madeline and Stella Hayes. Carma loved animals, especially her beloved beagle, Lucy.
Carma was born in Clintwood, Virginia, on July 20, 1932, to the late Kilby and Ruth Fuller. She had one sister, Theo McFall. She married Clintwood resident Earl William Fleming. Throughout her life, she resided in California, Nevada, and Alexandria, Virginia, before settling in Rockville, Maryland, where she lived for more than 50 years. Carma was a devoted Christian and attended Montrose Baptist Church, which later became The Cornerstone Church in Germantown, Maryland.
A private family graveside service will be held in her honor at Parklawn Memorial Cemetery, where her ashes will be placed alongside her husband, Bill. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the ASPCA of Rockville, Maryland.
