Born on October 15, 1931 in Orria, Salerno, Italy. She immigrated to Montevideo, Uruguay in 1955. In 1959, she married Antonio Carbone and together they went on to have two daughters. The family then moved to Maryland in 1972 where she lived for the remainder of her life.
Carmina is survived by her daughters Ivonne (Tom) Knowles and Maria del Rosario (Fabio) Curzi, her four grandchildren, Sofia, Giancarlo, Nicholas, and Julien, and her brothers, Felice and Michele Apolito.
She was predeceased by her husband, Antonio Carbone, her father Michele Apolito, her mother Rosina Apolito, and her brother Giovanni Apolito.
Carmina was a wonderful and loving mother who gave her all to her family. She was devoted to her grandchildren, and they affectionately called her “nonni”.
