The Lord Jesus Christ loves us and has given us everlasting comfort and hope.  I attended Immanuel Lutheran College when Dr. Asbury was there for the school year 1951-52 and one of the students' favorite hymns was "I'm but a Stranger Here, Heaven is My Home." which included the words "there are the good and blesed; those I love most and best."

My Mentor, Dr. Charles Alexander Asbury. The man who taught me Howard/University, from Introduction to (UG) Graduation. Then from (Med.,M.A.) graduation, to the completion of Graduate School Degrees, Especially Ph.D.'s !! He did not have much use for minimal brain function unless this was your lable.

Dr. Charles Asbury was an astute and knowledgeable professor who brought a wealth of information to the learning environment. His imprint will continue to impact the lives of others through his intellect that he shared with students and colleagues. He will be missed. My thoughts are with his family.

Dr. Charles A. Asbury will be remembered as a brilliant professor of statistical methods.He taught his statistical courses in such a way that all of his students mastered the concepts by the end of the course. I will also miss his keen sense of humor, and his unique world view and observation of people. We know that "To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord." I pray that you rest in eternal peace.

My thoughts and prayers are with the family during this time. Dr. Asbury was a wonderful professor.  He made a difference in the lives of so many of his students.  He will truly be missed.
