Chuck was born on January 15, 1959 in Washington, DC, and grew up Montgomery County with his parents and sisters. He was a loving and outgoing child and grew to be a fun-loving, compassionate man. On 03/03/03, he married the love of his life and best friend, Kimaywin Greeley.
Chuck was a prolific man with a heart and soul he shared willing and with enthusiasm. He loved motorcycles, camping with his family, and hunting and fishing with his kids. He passed these loves onto his children and grandchildren. Chuck enjoyed spending weekends with friends biking everywhere he could get someone to go and ending it with around a picnic or a campfire telling stories and sharing life.
Chuck has a love for the road that was instilled in him at a young age. He enjoyed working on cars, driving and successfully showed them through the area. This passion grew and Chuck made a hobby a career when he became a “professional steering wheel holder” i.e. a Tractor Trailer Driver. He established a small business driving dump trucks and tractor trailers. He often took the kids along to see the road and was famous for his curbside lunches. He joined Safeway where he met his wife. They drove together, road together and lived together and loved together. In 2011, he retired with Kim and made a new job out being a Poppy his most important job and the one he will most be remembered for.
Chuck is survived by his wife Kimaywin H. Greeley and his children Charles E. Greeley III and his wife Holly and their children Brianne, Cadynce and Dakota of Germantown, MD; Christine Thomas and her husband Raymond and their children Weslene and Ella of Germantown, MD; and Christopher Greeley of Germantown, MD. He is also survived by his sisters Pamela Turner and her husband Robert of Wheaton, MD and Paula Greeley of Silver Spring, MD. He is also survived by 4 nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Charles E. Greeley, his beloved mother Marilyn P. Greeley and sister Marilyn Christine Greeley.
Visitations will be held Saturday, October 19, 2019, from 10:00 am – 11 am and again at 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm and a Funeral Service will be held from 11:00 am – 12:00 pm at Hines-Rinaldi Funeral Home located at 11800 New Hampshire Ave, Silver Spring, MD 20904. A Graveside Service will be held from 1:30 pm – 1:45 pm at Gate of Heaven Cemetery located at 13801 Georgia Ave., Silver Spring, MD 20906. A fellowship luncheon will be held at Heritage Christian Church located at 15250 New Hampshire Ave, Silver Spring, MD 20905 immediately following the Graveside Service.
