Charlotte Rose Litovitz (née Goldberg) of Annapolis, Maryland passed away on September 7, 2021 at the age of 96. Beloved wife and 60-year companion of the late physicist and inventor, Theodore A. Litovitz, PhD, Charlotte lived a century filled with cherished friends, frequent international travel required of a renowned academician, boating adventures, and 24/7 dedication to every need of her children and grandchildren. Above all she was the selfless “wind beneath all of their sails”, supporting, helping, caring, and enabling their ambitions and dreams. An only child of doting parents (the late Marion and Isadore Goldberg), she was born in Baltimore and moved to the DC area before she was two. She graduated from Roosevelt High (in DC), then earned a college degree in social work at Penn State.
Charlotte is survived by children Toby Litovitz (J. Douglas White) and Gary Litovitz (Felicia Kolodner), and grandchildren Nicole White (Alexander T. Allister), Marisa White (John Cremo), Erica Litovitz and Matthew Litovitz, and great-grandchildren Teddy and Charlie.
