We were deeply saddened to hear the news of Uncle Chau Ngo’s passing. Our family has known him for many years, and we remember him as a devoted husband, loving father, and a truly good man.

He came to the United States and later brought his family here, giving them a better life. His sons are all successful and continue his legacy through their contributions to society.

Uncle Chau was a kind and gentle soul. Though he was a quiet person, his love was strong and deeply felt. We saw his dedication—to his work, his beloved wife, his sons, his grandchildren, and the Vietnamese community. For many years, he gave his time generously, volunteering to teach young children at church.

We fondly remember the warm, welcoming dinner he and his family hosted for us at his home. He was smiling, full of joy, and kept encouraging us to eat more lobster—long after we were already full. That moment stays in our hearts.

I also had the honor of listening to his powerful stories about his courage and commitment to defending democracy and humanity during the Vietnam War. Those stories have stayed with me and continue to inspire me whenever I think of him.

Thank you, Uncle Chau, for your love, your strength, and your example. You will always be in our hearts and prayers. We miss your warmth, your kindness, and your quiet but powerful presence.

Dai, I was so touched by the photos you and your family shared of Chau's life. It's clear what a remarkable person he was and how much he was loved.  I especially enjoyed seeing the photo of him with the AMC Gremlin and the brown blazer – He was the epitome of "old school cool."  I'm deeply sorry for your loss.
