Family First is the most important rule he had. And to keep the children HAPPY! And in Everything we do Family is the motivation behind it! Coming from Kentucky great distances so he could see his family. Many trips late hours Lu was always always concerned about how fast I would drive. Followed by getting your family here safe is most important. I tried to get my family there as often as possible with the distance between us. I wanted Everly to know who her family was especially her grandparents. So I often would push for our trips to be there. Lu and I didn’t talk much with the distance and getting sick a lot of time lost. I wish things we’re different. We can only walk through life dealing with the hand we are dealt. And the number one thing that I have learned from him keep your family first and your children happy. Nowadays I speak often to him! Thank you LU 

I only knew Lu for 7 years but he tought me many life lessons in that short time.  Family always first was always his #1 rule.  He was always there to lend a helping hand when i had a question or needing assistance with a home project.  I remember when i earned his trust driving one of his vehicles.  We were doing a long trip to Kentucky and Lu started getting a little tired so he had me finish up the drive and for a few hours,  every time i looked in the rearview mirror,  all i see is Lu staring me down, waiting for me to do something wrong.   He was always there giving you wisdom and looking after his family.   My goal that i always had was to make him proud of me like i was one of his children and going forward,  that is still my goal.    You will be missed Lu but never forgotten.
