Mum you showed me the way of the Lord. I learned many things from you which I am sure you never knew. When something is wrong in the church you enter inside your room and prayed until; you would speak in tongues. You always gave thanks to God even at difficult times. Mama I know that you are not dead but you are resting with the Lord. We shall meet again on the last day Mama. May your lovely soul rest in the Lord "Mami for all pikin them". You don't discriminate but love all the children equally. It took me a very long time to believe that you were not the biological mother of pastor Mola Njoh. May your lovely soul rest in the Lord. Most pleasant and naturally soft spoken Mum, I missed hearing your sweet voice. You are gone but your legacy remains with me, you have been like a costly perfume to me that produces savour. I will never have exchanged you for any other mother. It is still difficult to come term with the shocking news of your departure. You lived a fulfilled life, you impacted endurance, patience, passion, tolerant, love are all understatement, I wish I had better ways to say these. You were a very caring mother who give advice to all who comes your way. In fact, one of the reason of my decent behavior in ministry, successes in life is thanks to your advice.

It reminds me the song God gave you as a confirmation to my husband, and your famous confession song "I will make my heart your dwelling place..." Mum, who could easily acknowledge where she is wrong.

I remember the days you used to counsel me in the room with the pure word of God and with tears dripping from our eyes. Thank you for being an amazing Mum, you fought a good fight, I wish you could stay forever. I know you have gone to be in a better place, but I can't just stop crying, it pains so much.

Mami without your prayers and timely spiritual interventions, I wouldn’t be here today. I was told how you foresaw my
birth as one of those complicated cases, and behold you predicted just right. You almost lost your sister on that faithful
day, but your prayers did not go unanswered, praying hard in front of Bamenda General Hospital maternity ward. A
strong woman of God, mother of all, a gentle soul, she never derailed from her course, she stood firm till the last minute.

Thinking of a story to tell about YOU that conveys the message of what YOU mean to me is harder than I thought Mami.
There is just something about the bond of a grandchild and their grandmother. Something so special that finding the words
to explain it seems nearly impossible. It is not visible or tangible, but it is such an overwhelming feeling of love and admiration.
It’s hard to believe that you left us suddenly after all our plans we had for this year. I still remember how you taught me patience
in my childhood days, always keeping me by your side, waiting at your office after school or at church after service to go home together and everyone always called me “Your handbag”. You showed me values of modesty and destiny from your lifestyle. You were very concerned about who was my company. You were jovial and friendly with everyone, but very discerningas well. You were such a role model Grams.
Growing up with you has been a total blessing and I am and always will be forever grateful for that. You showed me the beauty in the little things and taught me to accept the things that weren’t always so beautiful. When life made me face hardships you reminded me that I was not alone. You held both my hands and prayed for me through some of the best and worst days of my life.
Thank you for your generosity not only to me, but to everyone. At times I think that God may have made your soul a little
too genuine because I know that you would give others everything you had until you were left with nothing. You are a selfless
woman that will do anything for anyone, which is a trait that comes with such honor. You selflessly helped to mold me in the
woman I am today, and I could never be grateful enough to carry some of the same qualities as you.

After our routine prayers that night on the phone before bedtime, I did not know that all the spiritual vibrancy and intensity coming forth from your spirit were goodbye messages. You were not only my biological mother, but my mentor, my prophetess and my spiritual mother also. You taught me prayer and fasting from an early age. You carried me along with you to church meetings as a little boy. I watched you pray at night, making declarations over my life and destiny. Greatness can always be traced to some foundation; I owe whatever I am today and tomorrow to the strong foundation you laid. You never dwindled in faith and prayers; I watched you stand on the Word and encourage others even during your own challenging moments. Your love for righteousness, purity, and “no compromise” is a priceless gold that any man of God can ask for -this greatly affected me and other preachers that came around you. I picked my first prayer vocabulary just by watching you pray. I watched you as a little boy initiate the youth movement in T.A.C.C. Buea in your living room. My attitude of sleeping with the Word playing all night was taken from you. You taught me hard work and diligence. You taught me never to compete with people but to be a grateful, humble and generous servant. I had loved and prayed that you watch and enjoy the fruits of your labor while on earth, but the Lord has preferred you to watch it from the grand stands of heaven. You prophesied revival as your last words to me; I have promised to take the baton and give myself to the cause of revival which you labored for all these years -you will watch it happen and smile from above.

Love you mother and rest with your maker. I’m good and all is under control, you sure taught me well simply because God is
involved in all of this. The last 36 hours, 21 minutes of your life is something I can’t get over. In fact, I lived every second of it.
At this point in time, only a few things get me down and my mother’s demise so far has been the greatest. Just knowing I can’tcall or see you anymore truly saddens me. I’m fighting to be strong daily but I guess am only human to break down sometimes. I have had the longest opportunity more than any one in my family to stay with my mother. We have been through thick and thin but my mother was always there having faith in me regardless. She was a woman who touched each of our lives in
different and special ways. This woman am lucky enough to call my mother…but most times I think and say like wow!!! If I
could become a third of what this woman (my mother) is, I will be very blessed. I am forever grateful that you are my Mother
and I wouldn’t have asked God for anything better than to have you.
Thank you for bringing me into this world. It is not a hidden fact that I was the most difficult amongst all your kids. Thank you
for the sacrifices you made in order to provide a safe place to raise me. Thank you for given up some of your dreams so I could
have a chance at mine. Thank you for always going an extra mile when doing the Lord’s work even when it was inconvenient.
But mostly, thank you for raising me in the way of the Lord. Mamie you taught me that repentance and growth are a part of
daily life and that God is never finished shaping us. Thank you for being the mother you were to me, irreplaceable and priceless.
I hear one never heals totally but l will be fine because I have God. I saw you practiced what she preached to me every day. If
you have a mother like mine Love her, cherish her, talk to her, Care for her and protect her. Nothing is like a mother’s love and prayers.

After we lost our dad some three decades ago, we saw how you stepped in to play the dual role of a father and mother. You
were sold out to God, and we watched your toughness to the voices of critics; we saw you standing firm through different
times of rejection, persecution and mockery. Your living example spoke louder than your words during the daily Morning
Prayer sessions, which you made mandatory regardless of how busy or in a hurry we were. You woke everyone up in the
morning with a beautiful and loud song as a call for morning prayers. You were a passionate lover of righteousness, integrity,
and always reminded us to be at peace with God and all men. You sacrificed so many things as a widow just to give your
children and others a great future. Even with the very little widow’s mite you earned, you still welcomed people to come live
in your home. You taught us the way of the Lord, how to trust in God in every circumstance, and took us to church. Your
home was always filled with laughing moments. We watched you manage and solve some of the most difficult and intricate
situations with such grace, gentleness and wisdom in our lives, with neighbors, individuals, families, couples and ministers. We
are privileged and blessed to have received such a gift from God as a mother. You did a wonderful job raising us and heaven
has called you back for your reward. We will never forget the lessons we learned from you and will keep your legacy ongoing
till me meet some day in Glory never to depart. I miss you.

last word of Peace, Blessings, Thanksgiving and Revival. Thank God for the fact that we will meet again and be together

In 1983 late Pastor Manga asked us Christians to look for a prayer partner. So, I loved the way sister Christy shared the
word of God. I wanted her to be my prayer partner. From then we became too close until our children were like brothers
and sisters; in fact both families became use to each other. We were always together in prayers or church meetings, especially
church conventions in Kumba, where we slept in the field and ate together. She was more than a sister to me. She
taught us how to love in the church and was very good in counselling people. Her home was open to everybody, especially
the youths. When she travelled to America to join the children, I never knew that was the separating point until her death.
Farewell dear sister to where there is no sickness, no pain, no strife. You will be greatly missed. God be with you till we
meet again.

Mom, the momentum of your spiritual legacy runs through the seamless unfolding with hidden or known Moves of God that have hit the earth. Mom, we saw you engaging that thin gold line that runs through all of church history, traversed by countless prophets, revivalists, and powerful saints whose uncommon yearnings for God and lives were juxtaposed with amazing visitations of Heaven. Mom, you are one who engaged the Scriptures with all your heart, spirit, mind, and even your mortal body was often flooded with the ecstasy that comes from encountering the glory of the risen Christ. 

Mom, we owe nearly all of the realms of Glory we are hosting and exploring today because of what you broke into during your unparalleled engagements with the realms of God. Mom, the All-Nights, Intercessions, Soakings, and Worships you had with us in your tent exposed us to A Holy Familiarity with God.... And those God-Encounters we had in that tent have become the matrix of a Glory Revival still at the grass root level in this nation, and Africa. Mom, thanks for cheering us with thunderous cheers from the great cloud of witnesses as we make the Ceilings of your engagements of God our Trading Floors for Greater Revelations of Our Lord Jesus... We will miss you Mom.

lways called you Mami (mom). Not because you were our biological mother but because you were everything a biological mother could be. You showed us love in many different ways. When we were neglected you gave us attention. When we were despised you cherished us. When others chased us out you took us in. When men gave up on us you stood there for us. Your home became our home. 

Mami, we will never forget how gentle you were with all us. And yes we were not always the best of kids but you kept loving us. Not even a single one of us can recall a moment you yelled at us. Your rod was the Word of God. It was the only thing you corrected us with. And those gentle corrections have never left us. Even at moments when we all saw that your house was fully occupied, you still did not turn anyone away who needed a place of refuge. At one point, there were about seven (7) of us living with you and despite the financial cost it brought on you to feed us, you didn’t shrink in your love and attitude towards any of us. You excellently distributed your love to all of us such that no one felt 'less loved' than others. How you did this still baffles most of us till today.

Words alone won't be enough to describe the spiritual lessons we learned while living with you. We learned that in difficult times, prayer was not an option, it was the only way out. In you we learned what it meant to be a CONFIDANTE. And that's why people could trust you with their privacy and yes you never let them down. We your sons and daughters all over the world say we love you and we will miss you. However, know that you live in us daily by the very lessons we learned from you. Our homes are a better place because of what you taught us. Farewell our Precious Mother till we meet again in Eternity.

You were a widow with many children to raise. But yours is a household name amongst the youths in TACC Buea across many generations. There was no office for a youth pastor in TACC, but you played the role personally, quietly, naturally and effectively. Your interest in the youths was evident and enduring. You drew them closer, you opened your doors to them, like you did to your own children. You fed the youths, you gave shelter to those whom you could. And above all, you gave wise counsel. Your interest was to see the youths living in holiness and serving the Lord passionately and unrestrained. You counseled us tirelessly, and you prayed for us too. Your encouragement kept us going, and energized us further. Your exemplary lifestyle was inspirational. And you stood for the youths too, when the tides were unnecessarily contrary. Your personal commitment to the youths was holistic and consistent. You've influenced the future of the church positively. We regret bodily that you've left. But we know that it's better for you. You finished your work and the Lord called you to rest. We desire with eagerness to see your seeds keep growing in us, and that we too would be enablers of influence on youths for the gospel. We know that by God's grace, we shall see you again soon to depart no more. Rest in the bosom of our Master Jesus, whom you loved with everything you had.

Mama Christine was a real mother to me both physically and spiritually. Physically in that she made me to know and realized the person I am. That is; I know what I can do and what I should not do. Spiritually in that she make me to know and realize the purpose which God created me for; why I was born and where I can feet. I can boast of a successful life today because of mama, especially in the spiritual aspect. As I heard of mama's illness, I was depressed but still hoping and praying to God that he should allow mama to live again on earth to glance over the lovely family she has, not knowing his plans for her (HE GOD KNOWS BEST). Mama was a mother. She was welcoming to all who visited her home and so hospitable with words of encouragement in your relationship with God. But when mama became sick, I visited mama in the house, and mama will still tell me to hold on God. She would remember when she used to bring us food on the crusade ground. I am crying because I did not know that was the last time I will meet mama. I will not forget all the words you spoke to me; they are still fresh in my memory. I remember that faithful day I was assisting some ladies to cook for Evangelist Gilbert's graduation party in 2010 at Mami's  residence. Mami prepared breakfast that morning but I didn't feel like eating because I was not hungry. Mami noticed i didn't eat and she insisted i eat till i ate something. I was amazed at her care and attention.  My husband was still leaving in Mami's house while going about our marriage preparations. Very few women will be like Mami to leave a young man stay with you till he got married. Mami took us as her biological children. You couldn't tell who was from Mami's womb and who was not.  she really had a heart of gold.  After we returned from Nigeria, Mami told us to move in with her again since we needed money to follow up some other things. I couldn't believe what she told us and my heart was filled with joy. Mami we will forever remain  grateful to you and all your children for the support you guys gave us and the encouragement. Her hands were so open to give out not minding what she gets back. she was a type of Jesus on earth we are what we are today because of your prayers and support Mami you have left a legacy a memory in our hearts that cannot be forgotten in a hurry our hearts bleed but we are rejoicing because you are with the lord. If I don't pass around often you will ask me "how you di do so nor" when you see me.  I always meet some youth like me in your house! Never without someone visiting!

Like Jesus, you loved seeing people around you simply because they were people and that made your love magnetic! I can't remember how many times I told my friends...."boh we go reme'"!...."we passor reme"!!.

Mama you ordered the first step in my walk with the Lord; you sowed the first seed and because the sower was open-minded and loving, the seed fell on fertile soil. How can I forget that warm embrace from my God-given mother while I was yet at the beginning of a teaching career with no salary? What great love to emulate from a mother!!Mama you kept the faith, you fought the good fight and you won the race. We all loved you but the Lord loved you best. Good bye till we meet again.

The steadfast love of the lord, there are new every morning great is ur faithfulness. I have lived all my life with that song . Deaconess Christine Takweni has been a blessing to many and my family in particular. I remember while in the Apostolic Church Cameroon, Great Soppo assembly, Mama Takweni ;as we use to call her counseled and prayed for me. I was going through serious challenges in my life that needed intervention. God used Mama Takweni to rekindle hope in me. She was more of a mom to everyone, a teacher and living epistle of the word of God, a prayer warrior who spent days and nights, never relenting her effort to give birth to destinies in the Kingdom of God. Some of us are her legacy. I pray God will accept her works and forever keep alive these memories. We will miss Mama Takweni.God bless.

Pam Yes ooh how nor!!! how you lose sooo eeehh!!!???” That was your style whenever you met me, and after that comes your normal smile but it bleeds my heart to know that, that smile will never be seen again. The last time we met, you told me you were traveling but you will stay there for long; little did I know the long will be not coming back again. 

Reme, as I called you meant a lot to me; I will not forget how you always came to my assistance the moment l call to say l need your help. Not only me but so many others; you don't even think of your health problems, you go straight into doing it; that was kind of mother you were. 

Reme, you were a mother who showed appreciation in what people did. I remembered when Fred was getting married you came to the reception ground and you admired the work and what was your comment "Takweni kam see ya pikin dem" now you have left "di pikin dem". Well, at this point I will want you to greet Papa for us. It is hard to believe but we just have to take it. OUR GOD ALMIGHTY knows why he took you away from us. Fare thee well mother, we love you but God loved you the most.

Mammie Takweni as we always called you. We are very saddened by your leaving us. We are so comforted by the good memories you filled our hearts with. We were well guided young people inspired by your prayer life, humility and steadfastness. So soft spoken, kind hearted you were. Your heart and home was always open to us. A wailing woman yet a loving woman of God. A widow raising more than just her own. I am grateful to have been a beneficiary of your ministry and motherhood. As a woman in ministry we stand on a strong foundation and unshakable shoulders because we can still hear your encouraging words, see your smile and feel your warm embrace. Even while here in Maryland when we stopped home to see you, you were still the WOG we knew. You fought a good fight, you finished the race and now till we meet again, rest Mama rest...

Mami Christine Takweni as you were popularly called, you were that big umbrella that covered us in both rainy and dry season .you were that great baoba  tree  upon which many could perch, take refuge and find shelter.  Your practice of christianity was so exceptional and interdenominationary.  Prayer was like the air that you breathe- a burden bearer.  I never for once saw you angry i only saw you praising  God all day long  waoh! What a woman you were indeed.  I'm blessed to be your daughter in- law  each minute spent with you was a novel of knowledge learnt. I remember you told me " therese generosity is the gateway to unimaginable blessings, never underestimate or overestimate what you give someone for you don't know how far it may go to help them."  You went further to say  " always have these three items at home water, sugar and garri".
Your departure is a great lost to us all but a gain to the Kingdom. 
You will forever be celebrated.  I hail you Great and Mighty  General in God's Kingdom.

A golden heart has stopped beating indeed. It bleeds my heart but I know you are in a better place. Good night grandma till we meet again.

Time will definitely fail me on this tribute for my Mother and the Mother of all, Mami Deaconness Christine Takweni. A woman after God's heart I would authoritatively say. 
       I was very close to Mami because she recognised God's hand over my life and couldn't let me stay far away from her knowing the "wolves" were always at the ready to devour a young and anointed man that I was. She took me in and Mami devoted her time and resources to make sure my time in Buea wasn't a difficult one.
    She would organize other Mothers for me to lead them in prayer and fasting retreats and her number one passion was always the state of the church.  Mami mobilised other women to pay my rents and other accommodation only around Great Soppo to ensure that l stay around the Main Soppo assembly because of my role in that church assembly. I was love cherished and valued by the leadership of that assembly thanks to all her effort. I lived like a little king never lacking in food, rents, transportation expenses while in the University. I could go on and on but time keep failing me. But l would like to throw in this one act of kindness from Mami amongst many: it was in 1997 that I laid me down to sleep in my student room in Soppo when Mami sent Patience to come meet me with a US DV lottery form to fill out.  She woke me up, presented the form to me, I filled it out and had one stray passport sized picture I found around my room and I handed it to her and went back to sleep. Long story short, I now live in Columbus Ohio USA married with four kids, Pastoring, and taking the gospel of the kingdom to the ends od the earth all thanks to an act of kindness shown to me by Mami Christine Takweni. She is the one person that about ten years ago came all the way to Columbus Ohio to stay with us for a while and we had great times as usual in the word and prayer. I have met very few women like her with a ceaseless and ever increasing passion for our Lord and His word and presence. Mami Goodnight!

It bleeds my heart to know you are gone and I will never see you again mum.A God fearing woman with a heart to help the less privilege. You always showed me the way to christ , now that God is using me your son to preach his word, you are gone never to see and watch your son preach the same way you have always wanted. Bless be the Lord that made it possible for me to cross paths with this daughter of Zion on this Planet earth. She came into my life at a time that i needed her the most in terms of spiritual uplifting, in my times of grief.  Little did i know that it was a way of connecting  us for Divine assignments. You were a real inspiration to the "Wailing "Women's ministry in Buea.  We had retreats, all nights and made prophetic declarations. In short, we challenged strongholds in the land in the name of Jesus.  Now that it is the time for manifestations of answered prayers, you are gone.  We were very close for a short time then you left for the US.  I cannot think of times past without the thought of  your usual position in your parlor watching  Christian channels on TV and the assuring infectious smile as if to say all is well, will be missed. One thing is certain and that i know ls the fact that you are in a better place.

Mami Takweni Akwi Christine Fomuki Grand Mother like no other. I Didn't have the opportunity to enjoy you enough before you left but I still have memories of you back here in Cameroon before you left for the US for medical care and also remember you saying "Marius how Marius how ?" numerous times when you were on phone with me. 
Mami Your Life was a Blessing for me and My Life will forever be brighter because you existed. 
You were always so good, unselfish and Kind.
Non on this earth your equall I'll Find.
Honourable, True and Godly in all your ways.
Honest, Liberal, Just in your Judgements, Always Right, Ever Upright, One in a Million, that Grand Mother was You.

Mami, your life was short but had so much impact on those who came around you. I remember what a wailing woman you were because of the compassionate heart you had. ma, you have been agreat blessing to so many and I can vividly remember how amazing those smile and encouraging works of yours made my mum strong and hopeful.really want to thank your for the great impartation you have impacted those who came through your way and may your memory be a signature in the mines of many. will miss you and more happiness in the side of our heavenly father. 

I remember how u always encourage n cheer me up whenever I failed my exams u will come share the word with me n pray with me am deeply sad that u have left us who will pray for us fervently as u use to do? God be with u still we meet again. Rest in the blossom of the Lord our prayer warrior. 

Very few elders believed in the potential of the young in the church when I just came to know Christ and became a Kingdom citizen. This great woman of God was  the one who boldly and openly supported the youths. You believed in the youths and that could be clearly seen when one visits your home.

You were the first to see the bold spirit in me and nicknamed me JEREMIAH. When I visited you the last time I was in Cameroon and presented my first book to you, you said, "You will be great and will write books to bless your generation like Oyedepo in Nigeria." Today, I don't only write and publish for myself, but publish for others. The prophetess saw it and spoke it... A TRUE WOMAN OF GOD.

Mama Takweni, your legacy can never be erased. You silently took care of many. You cleaned the wounds of many and fed many with the little you had. Today, your many sons and daughters rejoice because we know without a doubt that you are in the bosom of the Lord. We are already missing you. but this we know... There are many Mammy Takwenis you have left behind by your mentorship and impact.

In September of 2009, I was sent out of where i lived. I packed my things and went down to Church where I spent my first night. I knew the church will be my new home and the hard wooden benches will be my bed since i had just enrolled into the University and i had no family member in Buea with whom i could stay.
Immediately Deaconess Takweni heard that a homeless youth had spent the night in Church, she sent for me and asked that i bring along all my belongings. That's how i moved into her house and spent the next 6years till i moved to the USA.
She treated me like HER OWN CHILD. She never yelled at anyone. There was never a moment she was angry with anyone. On my graduation day as you see me on that picture (am standing infront of Mami's house) , Mami threw such a great party that my family who had very limited resources wept for joy.
I remember my Elder Sister Judith said to me about mami: "Gilbert; I know Church people are nice: But I have never seen anyone this kind".
Mami's happiest moment is when she offers help to people including strangers. 
If not for mami, i won't be standing in that graduation rob below and probably would have never made it to the USA because she paid my fees for the next 2yrs till i graduated and prophesied to me daily that I would travel to the USA. 
I say i love you Mami and till we meet again, you shall always be in our hearts.

I never understood very well what it meant to raise men to become usable vessels in the hands of God. "Mami" you taught me this which today I am most grateful.

As many children as were given the opportunity to pass through your hands, God has helped their lives to become used as agents for transforming lives in their own little corners. "Mami" we thank you.

How would my life have been  had you not played the  role to interrupt my course when I was always almost being derailed? "Mami" I thank you.

I believe you are among those  whom Hebrew 6:12 refers to as "those who through Faith and Patience inherit the Promises."

I was a dedicated follower and lover of your counsels and for this I will forever remember you.

When I came to your home at Buea, you welcomed me as though you had known me for years, and you showed me alot of hospitality and shared words of encouragement. 
Most of the Youths (including myself) who passed through the apostolic church Buea have benefited from your generosity, hospitalilty, selflessness and your wise godly Counsel.
You were a true woman of God  and your life has impacted many lives. Your legacy lives on. 
You are in the glorious presence christ right now.

......Let the lord be praise...... let your many sons and daughters rejoice..,. that u finally left them to the home in glory.... a home you so desired and consciously leaved your days not to miss it.                                 You were  called in the local assembly of the great soppo church as Deaconness Takweni but we all who enjoy ur grace  and ministry knew you as" mami  takweni".....                                                            I was with you in 2000/ 2001 and notice a mother whose interest in the house was to hunt for talent and fan them up....you had a true spiritual eagle's eyes to pick from the multitude those who had the zeal of the lord and fan them up through your prayer attitude and words of encouragement .....you made your home a place of spontaneous day or night prayers judging the spiritual temperature of the times... we left bless.your home had shift of countless visitors who all left w something bless.....you call each one by their name and always ensure you dish out great words of multivation and encouragment.....you throw light to the minds  of youths who needed understanding to pursue ministry.... I saw you  always in distress and lamentation when ever any of your sons or daughters and even  the entire church was in a bad spiritual shape....I will hear you say to me sometimes "Enow Enow you people need to pray". you have taught us by words and lifestyle that there is a God in heaven who grant strength to mere mortars to walk with him this long.... and as  you join the cloud of witnesses.....we say thanks.  We will stay in the race like you did stayed and finished while still standing....

As one of the young people who grew up in the Lord in The Apostolic Church Great Soppo Buea, your motherly voice was very essential for almost everything we did. 
 You opened your home to us as a place of refuge for every youth. Your motherly advise and support for the youth made our youth movement one of the best in the country during our time. 
You trained us well. Though you are taking a leave from us here, your voice will remain with us till we meet again. 
We will miss you. 


Mami was a great mother to me. Her smile will always remain in my memory. The food i ate from her, i will not forget.
I preached a message in her local assembly( bakweri town) and she re-echoed it in church for the next weeks that followed. she always told me "I was so blessed by that message"- Who are you in the house of God?
My condolences to Bro. Sam, sis. Linda, Joy and the rest.

Mama Christine was truly a mother to the youths in the church. I remember her words of encouragement and caution  at the same time. I pray that the church will have many mothers like her. Amen.  

Mama, it's so shocking to hear of your departure. This is not because I intend to question the Lord's plan for your life,  but because of  the immeasureable influence  your christian life has on all of us at The Apostolic Church Great Soppo, Buea. This positive influence made you so dear in our hearts, that we  desire you stay with us forever. Nevertheless, the purpose of the lord stands.

I remember you as a beacon of light in the congregation you serve as a deaconess, your love for the youths, your consistence in prayer and your encouraging words to the weak in faith. I will miss you mama, Rest in Peace.  

On behalf of the Kwo family, I’d like to extend our heartfelt condolences to  the Musong Takweni family. 
Our first contact with this family dates back to the late 70s or early 80s, when they retuned home to Ntamulung Bamenda, from The United States. Then when our father was posted to Buea, we were reunited.  Our families have had very close ties all along. 

When Papa Takweni passed away, Mami Takweni, on the day he was to be laid to rest, opened her Redemption Hymnal and sang this hymn with refrain “Yes He understands, all His ways are best...Leave the unknown future in The Master’s hands, whether dark or ...Jesus understands”. What faith! What trust! What a confession in the midst of pain! Then Mami turned around and raised all four kids by herself and just when she would start enjoying the fruits of her labor, The Master called her! We don’t understand but Yes, He understands. He alone truly does. 

So, we say to you, great mother of unshakable faith, unwavering trust in God, mother of integrity and righteousness, model of humility, always soft spoken, full of love and care, intercessor and prayer warrior, you have run your race well! You have fought a good fight. It’s coronation time and how big, that crown of yours is!!! 

A MOTHER THAT NURTURED MY 1ST CHRISTIAN JOURNEY.
I never knew what been born again was all about until she taught me and showed me the right way to go in order to be a true born again child of God.
A true mother who rebuked and same time draws with her right hand of love. A true mother who sees every child as hers irrespective of country of origin. A true mother whose exemplary christian virtue is worthy of emulations.
Like a fallen seed that is bound to grow, so are your seeds which you planted and nurtured in us towards efficiency and right standing with God.
Mama you shall forever be remembered in my heart. I love you mama, but God loves you most. As the Lord  pleases to take you home, may your humble soul rest in perfect peace. ADIEU MAMA!

The First verse of the Book of II Corinthians 5 (KJV) Reads, "For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with  hands, eternal in Heaven. 

My question is, why? Why at this same month of July? I leave it for Hashem to answer. 

My dear and Lovely mother, one can't forget you in a hurry. Your passion for God cannot be measured.  You took care of all of us as ur children. We love you mum and forever u will be in our heart. Truly you have fought a good fight of faith  you deserve a special and precious crown of Gold/Glory. U are our heroines, a blessed and glorious call. Mama you were like a mother to me, always stood by me, adviced me and always tried to put me on the right path, taking me as a full member if the family. A woman who loved God and everyone around her. Always served GOD faithfully with a joyful heart. I can still remember all the advices you gave to me. Ma Christy. You will forever be remembered  for opening  the door  of your house and heart to those who needed it the most .You are a complete  picture of a woman of God. The  fruits of your labour in Him awaits you.I truly miss you.

Beloved in the Lord, I regret to know the passing onto glory. As a young under your feet the memories are enormous. The Triune God in His multifarious wisdom is Unique and Sovereign to acknowledge those who diligently served Him.

Mami Takweni was a woman of God indeed: She was very humble, prayerful, always happy, kind, caring, trustworthy, teachable, available, tolerant etc. She touched my life. She will forever be remembered. Rest in peace mama.

Thanks mama for teaching me that prayer is the key through your personal prayer life. I also learned how to pray while on my knees as I watched you pray time and time again on your knees at the church house in Great Soppo.  Thank you for paving the way for some of us in the supernatural. Praise God for calling you home!

Mammy as I grew with you in Buea I realized you had two families:your bio and Christian families.These two you would never sacrifice for anything nomatter what -a lesson you thought us.
You have made impacts in the Christian journey .You had unnumbered children in the Lord who looked upon you for spiritual growth and upbringing.This you deed so well as it was your passion.
Your impact has been felt ,still being felt and will reign forever in the Christian world.
Despite all these you were still able to make us all laugh alot at home during your fun time moments .The bible was your cane  and your examples to lead us well.

I still remember those last days before you left for the U.S.A you kept on encouraging us who were living with you by then to hold unto the Lord no matter the trials and tribulations. Your departure leaves a big pain in my heart. You will rmain a pillar in the Apostolic church. Rest in the Lord Mum and Happy eternity

I do not doubt where you are.  What makes me tremble is that,  the things of this world entangle us . Today, we fall and get up. Salvation at times is uncertain but for you,  is a guarantee. I pray that we will meet  when Jesus comes again.

You were not only auntie or big brother's  love.You were mamie and my christian  role model. Totally given to the Lord Jesus Christ, your life was wrapped up in a christian simple down to earth life style, void of any aŕrogance but always seeing something good in the baby christian that i was.
You single handedly, after the home going of Ni, brought up my younger ones in christian love , truth and simplicity.Your generosity  and warmth  kept Es and I very comfortable whenever we came to stay for the marking exercise. Today, we are true ophans in Buea, thriving as we can.
I had just returned  from that strenous work and was planning to call you for chat after i would have rested.As God would have it, i received a text from Es saying you have gone to be with the Lord. There is a yearning in my heart but i am comforted because  you are with Christ. 
I love you my role model, mother of many  many children , mother to your children's  friends, the one who taught me to discern fake prophets; my christian life will not be complete  without  your input.See you on that great day.

Mami Takwini, as she was known by members of the Apostlic Church Buea District, Cameroon: was a Mother indeed. She was very loving and opened her doors to the Destitudes. I will never forgot in 2007 during a College strike ,when She  provided accommodation to my room mate and I for as long as the strike was to last. That left a mark in my life. A memory that will last Forever. Mama you were Amazing. You 'll be greatly Missed!
