David L. Kenton

On November 26, 2021 David Lowell Kenton of Rockville, MD passed away. Beloved husband of Hedda Kenton for almost 60 years; Loving father of Lisa Sharp (Hascall), Julie Lockwood (Douglas) and Jocelyn Kaplan (Randy); Dear brother to Victor Kenton (Fran) and Stephen Kenton (Faith); Cherished grandfather to Jason, Evan, Daniel, Abby, Meredith, Hope, and Brett; Loving son of the late Rose & Frank Kenton.

David taught over 1000 adults and children how to chant Torah, sharing his love of learning for generations to come. He was employed by the National Library of Medicine for over 30 years where he developed the MEDLINE and PUBMED online medical journal search systems.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 1st at 12 pm at Congregation Har Shalom in Potomac, MD. An internment will follow at Mt Lebanon Cemeteries in Adelphi, MD.

Memorial contributions may be made to Congregation Har Shalom or your charity of choice.
