Deborah was a very proud graduate of the New York University, during a time when college graduation was not a common experience for women of her generation. She did not stop her love for learning with college, though, as she was an avid reader of all genres. She also loved handicrafts such as sewing, knitting, needlepoint, embroidery, and jewelry-making.
After a career as a technical editor working in both academic (New Mexico State University) and corporate (MITRE Corporation) settings, she actively participated as a volunteer with the Music Center at Strathmore. Her greatest post-retirement passions included taking courses at the Osher Institute for Lifelong Learning at Johns Hopkins University as well as regularly attending concerts of the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra.
The most meaningful part of Deborah’s life was time spent with her family. She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Marshall, her daughters Monica and Mylene, her sons-in-law Philip and Steven, and grandchildren, Grant, Liam, Chloe and Greta. Her legacy lives on with her family as they celebrate her life and continue her traditions.
