Dr. Diane L. Barlow of Silver Spring passed away February 6, 2018 after a long illness. Diane was born on July 6, 1941 in Jackson, MS and moved to Maryland in 1970. Diane recently retired from the University of Maryland College of Information Studies where she served as Associate Dean. She was preceded in death by her father Dan Ledbetter. She is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Jewel Barlow, three sons: Brad, Todd and Dan, three daughters in law, five grandchildren, her mother Dorothy Ledbetter and sister Gaylyn Pleasant, many nieces and nephews and countless friends.
A memorial service to celebrate Diane’s extraordinary life will be held Saturday, February 10th at 11:00 am at the North Chevy Chase Christian Church. 8814 Kensington Pkwy., Chevy Chase, MD 20815.
