Donald Cohen, 66, passed away peacefully on November 16, 2025 at his home. Donald was a beloved son, husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend. He loved traveling and having new adventures. He was an avid square dancer. Donald loved to make things for his family, from crocheted blankets to warm meals. Donald is preceded in death by his father and mother Herbert and Irene Cohen. Donald is survived by his husband Steve Maier, sister Annette Cohen, stepmother Bearnice Cohen, his daughters Samantha Nowicki and Carolyn Maier, and his three grandchildren: Liea, Emmett, and Camden and his many nieces, nephews and friends. Donald will always be remembered for his kindness, his sense of humor, and love for his family. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to The Central Kitchen or a charity of your choice.
A funeral service will be held at Oseh Shalom Synagogue, located at 7515 Olive Branch Way, Laurel, MD, 20707, United States. The service is scheduled for November 19, 2025, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.
Following the funeral service, a committal service will take place at Meadowridge Memorial Park, located at 7250 Washington Blvd, Elkridge, MD, 21075, United States. This service is scheduled for November 19, 2025, from 12:00 pm to 12:30 pm. Shiva will be held at 6906 Fitzpatrick Dr, Laurel, MD 20707 visitation at 6:00 PM service 7:00 Pm
