Edward “Eddie” Geiser passed away peacefully in his sleep on August 21, 2024, at the age of 69. Born in Washington, D.C., to Richard Geiser and Frances Harper, Eddie grew up in Silver Spring, Maryland, where he spent cherished moments with his brothers and his best friend, Art. He had a love for tinkering with cars, boating, fishing, and enjoying crab feasts. Eddie's passion for antiques and collecting began early, starting with his collection of baseball cards.
Eddie dedicated 51 years to mastering and repairing HVAC systems, spending much of his career at the Hebrew Home in Rockville, Maryland, where he retired in the spring of 2024.
He is survived by his son, Erik Geiser, and his daughter, Catelin Geiser; his sister and brother-in-law, Brenda and Norm Schafer; his brother and sister-in-law, Don and Cindi Geiser; his brother, Jon Geiser; and his longtime friends, Art Childress and Debi Hayes.
Eddie found joy in crabbing, watching old Western movies, and collecting antiques. His happiest moments were spent on the water. He was a selfless man who always put others first, giving you the shirt off his back if you would let him. Eddie will be deeply missed by many.
Wherever he is now, we hope he has reunited with his beloved pug, Jake, and that they are sitting together on a dock by the bay. His family will announce a celebration of his life at a later date.
