Elmer Edmund Clow lll, 66 of Germantown, MD, passed away suddenly on August 12, 2019. He is survived by his loving wife Thanh, his mother Lupe, sisters, brother in laws, aunts, uncles, cousins and numerous nieces and nephews. Elmer was a gentle, quiet soul and did not have a mean bone in his body, never let on that he was having a bad day, and just enjoyed a simple life. He was his happiest either spending time with his family, playing softball or watching the Nationals or Redskins. He retired after a 45 year career with the federal government and was always looking for that next part time job to keep him busy. Elmer will be missed by all who knew him...so enjoy the simple things in life just as Elmer did. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to Mother Seton Catholic Church, 19951 Father Hurley Blvd. Germantown, MD 20874 or Our Lady of Vietnam Parish, 11812 New Hampshire Avenue, Silver Spring, MD 20904

“I think we dream so we don’t have to be apart so long. If we’re in each other’s dreams we can be together all the time.” That’s from Winnie the Pooh. Elmer and I have always had a very special space in our hearts for each other. We knew each other from when I was four weeks old. I know what a Bear Hug is! Elmer will always be a Great Big Gentle Huggy Bear.

I will always remember him as a warm and kind gentleman. We had many good conversations with him when we visited. He always made us feel welcome.

He will be missed.

I have many fond memories of Elmer. He emitted positivity with his infections smile and laugh. He was always kind to me, and he will be dearly missed. I will think of him anytime I see a Redskins fan!

Always enjoyed talking with Elmer. He was a big Redskin fan. I remember looking at his car and asking him "Who are the Redskins?". He took the joke well. Will miss him.
