Gloria Cynthia White, 83, returned to her heavenly home on July 27, 2016. Sister White began her earthly life on February 15, 1933 in St. Elizabeth, Jamaica. After emigrating from the island at a young age, she spent many of her formative years living in London, England, before eventually settling in Washington, DC. Sister White is survived by her sister, Delores; her nephews, Joseph (Teddy) and Delroy; grandnephews, Jahmar, Teddy, and Rashard; and her grandnieces, Shelbie and Tiffany. Sister White's visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 2, at Gethsemane Baptist Church, 5119 4th St., NW, Washington, DC from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. Interment George Washington Cemetery, Adelphi, MD.
