Four years have passed and my memories of Gordon and Anita are still strong! They were great friends and mentors!

Dear Anita and Family,
We were saddened to learn of Gordon’s passing.  Our 2020 Christmas card/letter was returned to us as undeliverable today, April 19.  You have our deepest sympathy and prayers.  We remember you all from our many contacts over the years— the Forum at Dr. Jashemski’s, Diane’s wedding, Gordon’s assistance in facilitating Christopher’s admission to the Air Force Academy, visit to Williamsburg, among others.  May God sustain you with the good memories you share as a family.

We treasure the memories of visits with Gordon and Anita in Maryland and up here in Ontario with the amazing Airstream.    Distance made the visits infrequent, but no less meaningful.  Gordon's warm heart and keen mind will be sorely missed.

I have very fond memories of Gordon and Anita. Our family lived next door to the Wards in Adelphi, and I grew up with the Ward siblings. Anita used to babysit for my brother (Richard) and me while my mother was attending the Univ. of Maryland working towards her doctorate. I know that Anita had her hands full with the both of us, plus her own kids, one of which was an infant at the time.  We moved away in the late 60's, but later on Richard bought our family house and moved back. He and Gordon became good friends and enjoyed being neighbors again. I love all of the family photos that are posted here. It shows how much Gordon and Anita loved each other. They will be missed!

My memory of Gordon and Anita is through a meeting of our Airstream club in rural Maryland so many years ago. They were mentors for a pair of newbies and taught my partner and I so much about our new found hobby.

My condolences to their son Kevin. May you have peace.
