Hilary was started off as a professional friend, turned personal mentor. I'm devastated to learn of her passing, but grateful for all of the work she did to support educators and students. My sincerest condolences to her family and loved ones.

Hilary, the young child in our neighborhood, the daughter of Gladys and Kirk, you will always be that in our mind and hearts. We knew you more as a child, but morn you now, the beautiful adult you became. We mourn with your wonderful family.
My family, Audrey, Leslie and Tanya included will remember you fondly and with love. Rest in peace. Our condolences to Nancy and Richard and families.

I only wish I could have known Hilary better. I only knew her for a short, recent week. May God continue to walk beside all the family.

Hilary’s caring and commitment was evident from the day we met. She sincerely cared about people and like many others, I valued her friendship. A committed leader, she came to Oklahoma for our conferences and embraced our association, the Oklahoma Association Serving Impacted Schools, providing assistance and support for every school, regardless of size. She always had a smile, a kind word, and an open heart. Condolences to her family on the loss of a wonderful, dedicated and loving person. She will be missed by many.

Hilary was an inspiration for anyone who met her. I was honored to know her for over a decade as she led the ISTE advocacy community. Her knowledge, energy and commitment to edtech policies, legislation and funding that would impact K-12 education was unwavering. She inspired me and hundreds of others in the edtech community to advocate at the federal and state level. She leaves a wonderful legacy as a champion for children!

Here is a photo taken in March 2019 as Hilary joined Sheryl Abshire (on the left) and myself for a luncheon at the Capitol.

Hilary was always a ray of light and enthusiasm. Our kids, though different ages, attended JPDS at the same time so we became friendly. It is really hard to wrap my head around the randomness of the universe. Such a loss.
