Ida Bell Malone, 86 of Takoma Park, MD passed away at her home on January 31, 2022. She was born March 4, 1935, in Albany, NY. Ida attended Virginia Union University studying Journalism. She was an advocate for social justice and reform. She was preceded in death by her parents William Sydney Alexander and Ida Bell Clayton Alexander; sisters Louise Alexander and Ann Tupponce; brother William Sydney Alexander Jr; and daughter Iva Benita Alexander. Surviving is her son Arnold Lewis Malone (Darshall Malone); grandchildren Arneisha Malone, Meisha Malone, Cynthia Dixon, Cianna Johnson; Great-Grandchildren Lyric Greenhowe, Lavell Vineyard Jr, Zion Malone, Micah Mager, Nasir Johnson, Kareem Johnson, and Titan Dixon; Niece Patricia Williams; Great – Nieces Erika Williams, Patty Williams, and Michelle Williams and a host of other relatives and friends. The family will have a private ceremony.
