

James Rommel Pico, affectionately known as “Bebing,” passed away peacefully on August 10, 2025, at the age of 79. Born on January 14, 1946, in Ilog, Negros Occidental, Philippines, he was the youngest of nine children born to the late Jose and Encarnacion Pico.
James proudly served in the United States Navy for 10 years, earning an honorable discharge due to a service-connected disability. Following his military service, he continued his commitment to public service by working for the federal government for over 20 years.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Maria Luisa Pico. He is survived by his loving daughter, Kristine Pico, son-in-law Brett, and cherished grandson, Shepherd. He also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews who will remember him fondly.
James’ will be remembered for his dedication, resilience, and the deep love he had for his family. His legacy of service and care will continue to inspire those who knew him.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, August 24, 2025 from 3pm to 7pm at the Hines-Rinaldi Funeral Home, 11800 New Hampshire Avenue, Silver Spring, Maryland 20904.
A funeral mass will be held on Monday, August 25, 2025 at 11am at the St. Peter's Catholic Church, 2900 Olney Sandy Spring Road, Olney, Maryland 20832.
