We are heartbroken to announce the death of our father, Jeffrey ‘Jeff’ Lynn Beck. He passed away peacefully at the age of 77, in Pompano Beach, Florida, surrounded by his family. He was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Jeff is the son of the late Leon and Ethel Beck and the husband of the late Marsha Beck. He is survived by his brother Michael Beck (Harryette), his two Favorite and Only (F&O) children, Jennifer Kalisz of Olney, Maryland and Brian Beck (Ingrid) of Tucker, Georgia and four grandchildren Hayden (17), Ava (16), Heidi (14), and Viveka (11). Jeff is also survived by many other family members.
Jeff kept himself very busy over the years with many entrepreneurships. He was known as ‘A jack of all trades.’ He worked as a computer programmer, project manager and IT support for many companies, such as Suburban Trust Company. He was also a restaurant owner of The Trojan Horse in Silver Spring and Fred’s Inn in DC. He owned a company called ‘AFAB’ (Anything for a Buck). Jeff was also a partner in the companies; Petra and Carbon Tek.
Jeff was living life to the fullest and always the life of the party wherever he went. He loved making memories and experiencing what life had to offer him. Jeff enjoyed playing many rounds of golf and traveling around the world for vacations. After moving to Florida, he continued to root for the Maryand Terps Men’s basketball team.
Jeff is so deeply loved by his children, his grandchildren, his significant other, Ceil Madison, Marsha’s family, and his many family and friends. He will be sadly missed and will always hold a place in our hearts.
