Kathleen Vreeland “Kathy” March 7, 1959 to October 18, 2017 On October 18th, 2017 Kathy Vreeland (nee Prentice) passed away from complications due to Huntington’s Disease. She was born in Washington, DC to Dr. Kenneth W. Prentice and Jean Prentice. She was raised in Silver Spring, MD, moved to San Diego, CA. She returned to Maryland after she was diagnosed with Huntington’s Disease. She was mother to Heather and Nicholas, a dear sister to Carol, Claudia and Kenny. She was known for her cheerful attitude, sweetness of spirit and loving disposition. She had a deep and abiding faith in God that sustained her through her trials. She touched many lives and will be missed by all. A memorial service will be held on November 11th at 2 pm at Good Hope Presbyterian Church 12131 Route 216, Fulton, MD 20759. In lieu of flowers the family requests a donation to Medstar Georgetown University Hospital, Office of Philanthropy 3800 Reservoir Rd.
