Con profundo pesar anunciamos el fallecimiento de Margarita Martinez, una madre, abuela, hermana y amiga querida, cuya ternura y bondad tocaron a todos los que la conocieron.

Nacida de Maria Victoria Rodriguez y Luis Alfonso Rodriguez (ambos fallecidos), Margarita creció en una familia unida junto a sus hermanos Maria Cecilia, Rosita, Alfredo, Jorge, Roberto (fallecido) y Orlando. Su vida fue un hermoso reflejo de amor, entrega y devoción hacia los demás.

Fue una madre dedicada para sus dos hijos, Jacobo y Jesse Martinez, y una suegra muy querida por Claudia y Carmen. Sentía un profundo orgullo y alegría por sus cinco nietos — Eva, Cristian, Sofia, Anthony y Lucas — quienes fueron la luz de su vida.

Durante 43 años, Margarita trabajó con dedicación y pasión en la Misión de Brasil ante la Organización de los Estados Americanos (OEA). Más que un lugar de trabajo, fue para ella un segundo hogar, y sus colegas se convirtieron en una segunda familia. Su entrega, amabilidad y profesionalismo dejaron una huella imborrable.

Margarita tenía el don de hacer sentir a los demás vistos, valorados y amados. Su círculo iba mucho más allá de los lazos de sangre, ya que acogió a innumerables amistades como parte de su familia. Su espíritu generoso, su fortaleza serena y su compasión infinita fueron una luz guía para muchos.

Será recordada por siempre por la forma en que amó — profundamente, con discreción y constancia — y por la bondad que ofrecía a todos, sin importar las circunstancias. El legado de Margarita vive en los corazones de quienes ella cuidó, inspiró y acompañó durante su vida.

Aunque ya no esté con nosotros físicamente, su presencia se sentirá siempre en la calidez de cada abrazo, en la bondad de cada gesto y en la unión de cada reunión familiar.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Margarita Martinez, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, whose warmth and kindness touched all who knew her.

Daughter of the late Maria Victoria Rodriguez and Luis Alfonso Rodriguez. Margarita grew up in a close-knit family alongside her siblings Maria Cecilia, Rosa, Alfredo, Jorge, Roberto (deceased) and Orlando. Her life was a beautiful reflection of love, service, and devotion to others.

Margarita was a devoted mother to her two sons, Jacobo and Jesse, and a cherished mother-in-law to Claudia and Carmen. She took great pride and joy in her five grandchildren — Eva, Cristian, Sofia, Anthony, and Lucas — who were the light of her life.

For 43 years, Margarita dedicated herself to her work at the Brazilian Mission to the Organization of American States (OAS). More than a workplace, it was a second home, and her colleagues there became like family. Her unwavering commitment, grace, and professionalism left a lasting impression on everyone she worked with.

Margarita had a gift for making others feel seen, valued, and loved. Her circle extended far beyond blood relations, as she embraced countless friends as part of her family. Her generous spirit, gentle strength, and boundless compassion were a guiding light to many.

She will be forever remembered for the way she loved — deeply, quietly, and consistently — and for the kindness she extended to all, no matter the circumstance. Margarita’s legacy lives on in the hearts of those she nurtured, inspired, and uplifted throughout her life.

Though she may be gone from our sight, her presence will forever be felt in the warmth of every hug, the kindness of every gesture, and the unity of every family gathering.
