Marian B. Tepper
January 26, 1940 – November 16, 2020
Marian Tepper of Germantown, MD, passed away on November 16, 2020. Beloved mother of Ronald (Julie) Tepper and Douglas (Sharon West) Tepper; devoted, adoring and adored “Bubbe” of Madison, Jessica, Alaina and Mariah Tepper; cherished sister of Deborah (Tom) Silberman. Marian worked at Computer Data Systems, Inc. on government contracts with the Department of Education, Homeland Security, and others; she also served as an election judge in Montgomery County, Maryland from 2011 to 2018. She was a smart, funny, artistic woman with a biting wit and a zest for living. She loved to cook, travel, dance and shop, and loved going to the movies and theater, craft and art shows and outdoor festivals. She loved being with people, and was a member of the Red Hat Society for many years. But the greatest loves and passions in her life were her family, celebrating holidays and family events and doting on and spoiling her grandchildren. We will deeply miss her generosity, love, sarcasm, humor and her peerless matzoh ball soup. A private interment service for immediate family will be held at King David Memorial Gardens in Falls Church, VA. A memorial service will take place when it is safe to gather again. Donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association or Mental Health America, (mhanational.org) Arrangements by Hines-Rinaldi Funeral Home, LLC under Jewish Funeral Practices Committee of Greater Washington.

It was back around 1980 that I first met Marian, when she came to work with me at IBM as a temp. She was very dedicated to the job. We went to many craft shows, some plays plus concerts together over the years. It was always an experience to do lunch. I will miss her a lot and am sorry she didn't let me know how sick she was.
I do know that she loved her grandchildren more than anything and talked about them all the time. She was very proud of them. Of course, she loved everyone else too and always looked forward to the holidays with everyone.
She will be missed by everyone who knew her.

I came to know Marian a few years ago, when she became a member of our Health Club. I personally trained once a week for about a year. She was always so happy, when she came to the club for her workout. I remember she was always dressed to impress! Everything would match from her shoes ,socks workout pants, shirt and of course a head band! If it was around a holiday she would come in dressed for that too! Marian always had a smile on her face and was very social and chatty with other members! Then a few members started a Mah Jongg group that meet once a week . She was all there for that! She supported the group and was a faithful member and made many friends there. One of my best memories of Marian is that she found out Elizebeth liked Matzo Ball soup. So, she would make extra and bring it to the club for Elizebeth over the High Holidays. Marian was a very special person. I am grateful to have known her.
