On June 15, 2026 at age 94. Born July 26, 1931 in Germany, Marlene came to the U.S. as a refugee from Nazi Germany in 1933. A graduate of Wellesley College, she was a lifelong advocate for voting rights, working with the Maryland Chapter and National League of Women Voters. Survived by children David, Wendy, and Jonathan (Babette) Cohn; grandchildren Rebecca (Andy Greenspon), Gabrielle and Samuel Cohn and great grandchild Tova Greenspon.
The family will receive visitors at the residence of Jonathan and Babette Cohn, 13004 Blue Valley Place, Silver Spring on Thursday, June 18, 6:30-8:30 p.m and Friday, June 19, 4:00-6:00 p.m. Contributions in her memory may be made to Foundation Fighting Blindness or So Others Might Eat (SOME).
