Dear Dad - on this 6th anniversary of your transition, your spirit has remained alive and flourishing in me (and your family) whether from Friday night dinners with Bobby & Nanny, family ski trips, crab feasts, cherishing our many years together on the golf course/driving range & tennis courts, watching sports on TV and, most importantly, as an everlasting model of decency, honesty and integrity to which we will always aspire.

Dear Cliff and family, 

This is David Scott Elman.  Cliff and I were friends as kids. I saw Myron back in 2011 when Cliff was in town, at his house.  He remembered me immediately and insisted I call him Myron, and was kind and solicitous.  My condolences to your family.

I knew Myron through Matt Atwell and his son Rick and wife Margo.  Long ago.  Myron was a very kind, generous man to me when I was at my lowest.   I will remember him in my prayers and never forget his amazing spirit.  God bless his family and I am truly sorry for your loss.

Dear  Scott, Rick, Gregory, Gary and Clifford - I am Suzanne Gerber (Offit), the daughter of Ruth and David Gerber.   David was one of Robert Gerber's younger brothers and they were close friends.  He was also the lawyer and accountant and had a relationship with Drug Fair and Trenton Terrace.  My older sister was Barbara who was married to Irving Cohn.   We, along with Fannie and Charlie Fish, Herman and Gene, were the Baltimore branch of the family.   For years, before the family got too large, all of the Gerber's had Seder together.   

As a teenager, I had a (distant) crush on Myron.   My dad would take me to the Navy football games when they were in Baltimore and we would sit with your grandparents.   I remember Aunt Rose enjoyed the games as long as Myron wasn't on the field; she didn't want him to be hurt.  I got a lot of mileage with my friends when he was mentioned on the Sports pages.    

Over the years  when our paths crossed, Myron was always warm and gracious and gentlemanly.  We spoke when I moved to Leisure World 15 years ago and intended to get together, but we didn't make it happen.

Your grandparents were lovely too.  I remember that they held a Hanukah party for all the children in the extended family and they lined up for their gelt and your dad handed them all $10 bills.  (I think they were 10's.)  Did you know that the brothers that could, supported their siblings who couldn't .   For example, when their older sister Mary lost her husband when she had four young daughters, the brothers told her that he had left an insurance policy (not so) and supported the family til the girls were grown.
