Beloved wife of Darryl Green; cherished mother of Alan Green and Kaiyelle Hardy; stepmother of Shalisa Smith and Elyse Green; daughter of Wanda Washington and James (Andriea) Washington; sister of James (Tyrease) Washington and Angela (Kevin) Strong; daughter-in-law of Ernest and Adeletha Green; sister-in-Law of Gwyneth Green-Williams, Brian Green, and Curtis Green. Aunt of Jade Washington (Goddaughter), Peyton Washington, Jakobe Jackson, Aaron Green, Ashley Green, Curtis Green and Andrea Williams; niece of Thomas C. Battle, Betty Battle Tanner, Janice Fountaine, Van DuWayne Battle, Michael E. Battle and Carol Johnson. Godmother of Arrington Price III. She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Thomas O. and Lenora V. Battle; James and Maxine Washington; Aunt/Godmother Sandra Battle Green, and Karen Washington Wilson. She was a graduate of McKinley Tech High School, University of the District of Columbia, and Kaplan University. She worked as a social worker and had a long career with the Pre-Trial Services Agency of Washington, DC. She was also a long time member of The New Smyrna Missionary Baptist Church. Visitation will be Tuesday May 29, 2018 at 10 a.m. at New Smyrna Missionary Baptist Church at 4417 Douglas St. NE, Washington, DC 20019 with Homegoing Celebration starting at 11 a.m., Pastor Van DuWayne Battle officiating and Bishop Earl A.
