PAMELA ANNE MILLER, our beloved daughter and sister, quietly departed this life on Saturday, October 10, 2015, at her home in Silver Spring, Maryland, after an extended illness. Pamela was born on August 13, 1973 in Takoma Park, Maryland to Benjamen and Bettye Davis Miller. She was the first of two children. Pam grew up in Silver Spring and was educated in the Montgomery County Public Schools and completed her education at Walter Johnson High School in Bethesda, Maryland. After high school she worked for several years in a sheltered work program with Rehabilitation Opportunities, in Lanham, Maryland. She later joined a program with The ARC Montgomery County in Rockville, Maryland, where she was a participant until her recent illness. In spite of her intellectual and physical challenges, Pam’s life was mostly joyous. She liked to travel and really enjoyed trips on airplanes and Caribbean cruises. She always insisted on having her own suitcase, and was quite proud of her easily identifiable red luggage. Some of her most enjoyable recreational activities were going to the movies, the beach, bowling, riding an exercise bike, roller skating and playing with the dog. A favorite activity was working with puzzles. Pam also had a great love of music, especially songs with a lot of rhythm, because she loved to dance. Those left with cherished memories of Pam are her parents, Ben and Bettye of Silver Spring, her sister, Kimberly Miller of Silver Spring; and a host of other family members and friends, among them her godparents, Charles and Beverly Epps of Washington, DC.
