Parkash Samuel died October 17, 2018 in Bethesda, MD. He retired from the Library of Congress where he worked as a subject cataloger for 30 years in the physical sciences of the processing department. After his retirement, he worked as a translator and interpreted from English into Urdu and Punjabi for the Montgomery County Public School system. He had a Masters degree in Physics from the Punjab University and a Masters in Management and Supervision from Central Michigan University. He also worked as a technical editor and acquisition officer for the Meteorological and Geoastrophysical Abstracts. Prior to that, he had worked for the Pakistan Embassy in Washington, D.C. in Defense Procurement. He was an elder of the National Presbyterian Church. He is survived by his wife Roma of 54 years of Bethesda, MD, son Aseer and daughter-in-law, Celina of Rockville MD, daughter Anona of Newark, DE; and grandchildren Ariana, Colin, Josiah, and Eli. Visitation with the family will be at Hines-Rinaldi Funeral Home, 11800 New Hampshire Ave. Silver Spring, MD on Sunday, October 21, 2018 from 3pm to 7pm. Memorial service will be held at National Presbyterian Church, 4101 Nebraska Ave. NW Washington D.C on Tuesday, October 23, 2018 at 2pm.
