Elder Paul Yaw Barima Osei was born on August 1st, 1951, in Ohwim, Kumasi, in the Ashanti Region of Ghana. He was the first son and third-born of five children to the late Mr. Paul Yaw Barima Osei and Madam Hannah Abena Nsiah.
Paul met his young and beautiful wife, Victoria Dapaah, while visiting the Church of Pentecost branch in Amanfro, Kumasi, on December 31, 1976. The marriage was blessed with 6 children. God opened the door for Paul to travel to the USA in 1979. He earned his GED, after which he attended Polk Technical Institute and completed his training in Printing and Graphics. After 25 years of working with Tri-state Envelopes incorporated, he retired in February 2018.
In 1990, There was no established Church of Pentecost (COP) in the Washington Metropolitan area. After talking to a few friends who had been members of the Church of Pentecost in Ghana, they decided to form a prayer team. Through intensive prayers and guidance from God, the group decided to organize a prayer meeting, the group later became the cornerstone of the COP in the Washington Metropolitan area. Paul served as the first Presiding Elder for both the Virginia and Maryland Assembly simultaneously.
The Lord laid it upon his heart to start a prayer ministry in 1999. Salvation Camp Ministries is a result of this vision. Through him, God worked many miracles in the lives of many people looking for work, the fruit of the womb, legal documentation, healing, and so much more. He was a powerful, seasoned, and charismatic preacher whose primary focus was pointing people to Christ.
After decades in ministry, Elder Paul retired from active service under the Church of Pentecost. After his retirement, he continued to serve and support his local church. He was fond of imparting wisdom gained from life experiences and preaching the gospel whenever he had the opportunity.
In June 2018, he was ordained as Rev. Paul Yaw Osei at Agape Life Ministries by Rev. Dr. George Addai Mintah. He actively served COP and Salvation Camp Ministries until he became ill in 2022. Even through his illness, he never lost faith. He continued praying for others and preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ to others until his final days. Rev Paul leaves behind his beautiful wife, Victoria Osei; 6 children (Peter Osei, Hannah Acquah, Sophia Gant, Paul Osei Jr, Emmanuel Osei and Timothy Osei); 2 sons-in-love (Quincy Gant and Samuel Kofi Acquah); 6 grandchildren (Samuel Acquah Jr, Sinae Gant, Isaiah Acquah, Nathan Acquah, Gabriel Acquah, and Joshua Acquah), adopted children, siblings, cousins, nieces, nephews, friends, Church of Pentecost family, Salvation Camp Prayer Ministry family and many co-laborers in the Lord.
