Richard was a loving father, zeyde, brother, and uncle. He was a native Washingtonian, graduating from Eastern High School in the District of Columbia. He joined the Navy at the end of World War II, where he was stationed at the Pentagon. Richard earned a Victory Medal and an honorable discharge for his service. With his sharp mind, hard work, and gift of conversation he became a successful businessman in the Insurance and Financial Advisement businesses. He enjoyed traveling, the beach or pool, watching sports, playing Gin Rummy with the guys, Golf and time with his family. Unfortunately, dementia took over later in life and began to take his talents from him and from us. While he went through tough times over the past 5 years he never lost his smile. It always warmed up the room.
