I grew up four houses down from Sandy and her family when we were growing up. We lost touch after high school but wound up working at Dominion Bank together in the early nineties. My late wife worked with her also. We would then speak periodically but had not spoken for at least 15 years. On Saturday night I had a dream and Sandy was in it so I decided to give her a call on Sunday. I went to look up her phone number and saw the death notice. 

I have no idea why she was in my dream, but it has saddened me ever since I saw it. God bless her and the family.

Words can not express my love for Aunt Sandy. Growing up Aunt Sandy was like a second mother to me and was there for every birthday and milestone throughout my life. She had a laugh that would light up a whole room and had a love for all things purple and Betty Boop. I am thankful for all the memories we shared with weekend shopping trips and summer vacations to  New Jersey. I always knew that no matter what was happening in the world I had her unconditional love and support. Thank you Aunt Sandy for holding my moms hand as you two dropped me off at my freshman dorm room 7 years ago. 
 I know Aunt Sandy and Bill have front row seats to all the Redskins, Nationals, and Capitals games. Lots of love - Rae

It all started 17 years ago when I first met Aunt Sandy. funny story  I had a dog named Sandy I was a little kid I don’t remember how old I was at the time well I was walking sandy my dog and  I wasn’t paying attention and  Aunt Sandy and her past dog laser was out for a walk as well Sandy saw them my dog and darted towards her and laser and I was trying to catch up to my dog sandy yelling she is friendly and then saying I’m SOO sorry, then we moved across from her about a year and a half later and that’s how it started . Little did I know she was going to be in my life for a very long time. I used to be a rebel when I was a kid, who am I kidding. I am still a rebel sometimes I used to run away from home, when Aunt Sandy got wind of it she didn’t want me running away anymore. she said if I ever felt like getting away or feel like running away. I am always welcomed over her house .I will be forever be grateful to her and  presence was enough. She saw me and my siblings grow up from these little kids to young adults.  she was always part of my family and she knew it.

At an all u can eat buffet in Gaithersburg such a beautiful smile.

My dear, dear Sandy!!! You are sooo deeply loved by my family!!! You've been such a wonderful and supportive friend through so many, many years! You suffered through many birthday parties, graduations, cook outs, a shoulder to cry on, and many, many "talks" and you did it without any sign of distress nor refusal.  You were always the best friend a person could ever want. Thank you for being part of our family. You touched our lives in such a profound way! We love you and miss you terribly!!!

I am so sad to hear about Sandy's passing. I worked with Sandy at Revere and will forever cherish the memories we made together at work. Her laugh was contagious and she was very sweet and caring to everyone. May she rest in peace. Sending love to the family.
