Shia Susan Thomas was born on August 28, 1981 in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania. At age 5, she moved with her family to India, where she was raised. This was the first of many adventures Shia would undertake.
At 17, she moved, by herself, to Punne, Maharashtra to attend United World College Mahindra Campus where she was one of only two admitted from all of India. Her next stop was Bombay, where she earned her Bachelors of Science in Mathematics. Shia returned to the United States in 2002, where she earned her Masters Degree in Applied Statistics. She then began work as a Biostatistician.
Shia first met Jacob Poulose in 2005 and they married in 2007. They lived in Phoenixville and King of Prussia, Pennsylvania for short times before finally settling in Derwood, Maryland.
Shia loved to laugh and lived life to the fullest. She loved children and spending time with her family and friends. She received love, strength and fellowship through her Bible study group and was an active volunteer at her church. Her sincere love, selfless spirit, and special strength left lasting impressions on all she met.
She leaves her loving memories to be cherished by her mother Tara, father Thomaskutty, brother Mathew, sister-in-law Aleesha and her husband Jacob.
